Puoerto Escondido -Huatulc & transportation
Hi,We need some help on finding transportation (whether it be shared taxi, bus or whatever ) from Puerto Escondido to Huatulco Airport .I"ve read that a taxi to Puerto Escondido from the Airport is mega huge but what would it be in reverse?. Have experienced the airport taxi system when arriving in Cancun on our way to Isla mujeres. When we returned to the Cancun Airport from Isla , the cost was much less...is that the case here in Puerto Escondido?

Around 600-750 MXN I think for private taxi... possibly negotiable for less. Yes there are plenty of shared vans, not sure about direct but you can easily do P.E. - Pochutla then another one on to Huatulco.2
There's a steady stream of second class busses running along 200. I don't know where they originate but they come through Puerto Escondido to Pochutla and on to the service town of the Huatulco area, La Crucecita. The airport is before you come into this town and it would be easy to jump off. I don't know about current costs but it would be trifling compared with a taxi.5
My guess is about 50 MXN for travel by second class bus from Puerto Escondido to the Huatulco airport road (I think SUR provides second class service on this route on behalf of ADO, but there are other options too.)6
I would ask this on the www.tomzap Puerto Escondido forum. Seems as if I read about a cheap shuttle to Huatulco airport. Don't know how often it runs. All above suggestions good if you don't have much luggage.
