Getting a visa for Tanzania when entering from Kenya

Hi, can anyone give advice re visas for Tanzania when entering from Kenya? Am on an organised safari tour & intend to get Kenya visa on arrival in Nairobi as it seems very straightforward and much cheaper than getting it in the UK from, for example, Trailfinders visa service. Will I be able to do the same going into Tanzania or am I best to get the visa in advance? All advice welcome, thanks :-)

How or where are you going to cross the Kenyan/Tanzanian border? If its at Namanga (on the main road from Nairobi to Arusha) then its a straight forward process. You fill in the forms, pay the $50 US (new bills printed after 2005), get photographed and fingerprinted and away you go. Just tell your safari operator so that they can schedule a little extra time. You will probably find that many fellow travellers require their visas also. Other border crossings will be similar. Oh and they will probably want to see your Fellow Fever vaccination certificate.
