Dublin to Howth

Considering an overnighter in this charming coastal fishing village fro Dublin.

Any recommendations on:

-lodging, preferably B&B's. But apartments ok too.

-mode of transport i.e. train vs. car hire

No need to rent a car, just take the DART train out to Howth from Dublin...

hmm, that simple, eh Jack?

Now is DART a short commuter train, or can one book in advance?

sorry for the idiotic question in advance.

HI Guv...DART is a commuter train that services the coastal stops both north and south of the river...just turn up, buy a ticket and hop-on...obviously busier at peak times...
