Air Asia - Mandalay to Bangkok Flight

Has anyone had any joy in booking this flight on the Air Asia website.

The website says that they are flying this route 4 days a week or so - however, no actual flights come up when you try to book via the website.

I am hoping to be in Myanmar in December for 12 days or so and thought it would be great if I could fly into Yangon and out of Mandalay to save doubling back on myself.

Anyone know what international flights out of Mandalay there are? Ideally (and in order of preference) into Vientiane, Chiang Mai or Bangkok?

Am looking to fly into Yangon around December 09th & out of Mandalay around December 18th

Thanks in advance

Hi,

There is no more option for going to Myanmar. The best option Yangon-Bangkok with Air Asia. After there is a flight two times by week (thursday and sunday normaly) between Chiang Mai and Yangon. From Vientiane, there is no flight for Burma and in Mandalay, I think it's difficult but not sure.

Interesting. While I don't think Air Asia has made an announcement yet about BKK-MDY flights, there appears to already be the possibility to buy them online. From simple searches, it looks like they start on October 4th.

Try searching again.

Also, noting that Air Asia's advertisement in yesterdays' Myanmar Times English featured the Mandalay flight... I suppose its a go. I know a lot of Myanmar families in Mandalay who will be pretty happy about this flight. However, they will still need to apply for a Thai visa in Yangon...

The route starts on October 4th and I'm seeing right now the flight schedule and the fare in their online booking feature.

Hello everyone :)

I wanted to do the similar route as sstenlake has written: fly from Bangkok to Mandalay and fly out of Yangon. Yesterday I've tried to buy ticket on Air Asia homepage from BKK to Mandalay. Everything was fine until the very last step. When I have given my credid card number and pressed "Submit payment" on my screen appeared a warning that the currency that I want to pay (I wanted to pay in USD) is different from the currency of my country (I am from Poland so my currency is PLN) and I have to accept the exchange rate. I have pressed OK and nothing have happened. I have tried to do the whole procedure twice but with same effect. I haven't received any information on my email. I'm wondering if anyone has a similar problem with air asia? Credid card number and all data was written correctly. The worst thing is that I can't find any mail contact to the company. I've found thouse:
malaysiasupport@airasia.com, elijahjonathan@airasia.com, maa_customercare@airasia.com, plfeedbach@airasia, guestsupport@airasia, but all are invalid!!! Do you know any e-mail address to Air Asia?? Or maybe have any suggestions why I can't buy this ticket? I would be really grateful for your help :)

Thanks
