Piran for a week?

I'm flying into Trieste in about a month and have one week to myself. I just fancied a quiet week with some sun, relaxing town by the sea, maybe a beach, beers in some local bars and generally taking it easy. Would Piran fit he bill? Or might. I be better splitting the week with another town nearby? I could just see how I find it I guess...any comments appreciated

I was in Piran a month ago and just loved it. I don't know what I would have done if I'd been there for a week - it's quite a small place.

Thanks. I was really just planning on taking a load of books and chilling out for the week. I understand it's quite small but it was more about doing nothing for a week. I could take some day trips around if I get bored I guess. Thanks again.

Koper, which is a brief bus ride away, is another nice town. While not as picturesque as Piran (glorious Tartinijev trg in the center of the Old Town), Koper also has its appeals (Titov trg an attractive main square, colorful Carpacciov trg extending from it) and lodging is less expensive. The towns are so close together, with so many buses between them during the day, that it won't feel like a hassle, and you could enjoy both.
