White Water Rafting in Luzon
Hi guys need help, anyone who knows a good place for White Water Rafting in Luzon? I'm looking for somewhere that can be traveled by land. I was previously interested with Cagayan De Oro however I cannot find a reasonable plane ticket price for September-October. I did some research and found some rafting up around the north but they never gave any idea of the cost. Anyone who has experienced rafting around Luzon and has good contact with a group that provides it, (hopefully reasonably priced as well). Would very much appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!! ;)1
Hi Resuri Ann,Chico river in Luzon is a popular destination for white water rafting. This is in Kalinga province (Northern Luzon - after Baguio / Banaue) - but being a mountainous area, it is not as easy to reach as CDO. Most rafting trips are organised by operators in Tabuk.
The below links will give you a better idea of what to expect.

And you're right, CDO seems easier to reach and plan. but thanks again :D

Whether you go north or south, you'll want to make rafting part of a broader trip to the area. Lots of other things to do in both North Mindanao and the Cordillera, and the travel time or expense makes a lot more sense if you spend additional time in the area and check out what else is there.5
...however I cannot find a reasonable plane ticket price for September-October.I just bought a return ticket Butuan/ Manila for October with Cebu Pacific on July 27th, base price was 367php each way, total price 1350php each way. CDO/Manila was included for that price. What you need to do is sign up for their email alerts.

I meant that Cebu Pacific had the same price from either Butuan or CDO to Manila for 367php each segment. Includes 280p for 20kg baggage and 200p for "web administration fee"...all in except for the airport fee. I was able to cancel the seat selection fee also. Best price Ive ever seen from Mindanao. As I wrote above it was 1350php total each way. About $31.50 Canadian.10
Dont know what the 367 represents - here's the breakdown, this is for the return flight Butuan/Manila, so divide by 2 to get the one way fare.Base Fare: 734.28
