Inner Mongolia-anyone traveled alone in desert or grassland?Hi all
I'm planning to travel IM for the first two weeks in august
I'm thinking of spending 5days in the desert and another 5 days in the grass land(well, but both flexible)
I read some reports in this forum and googled, but still need more infos about traveling alone in there.
Most of them were came from group tour:(
I want to know if I can stay in traditional yurt and do some camel tour alone or in a small group(2 to 6) if traveling alone is not possible.
and please let me know if there's less touristy area!
Thanks a lot:D
ps I havent got my train ticket yet. Is it easy to buy a round ticket in Beijing?
And if anyone interested in traveling with me, please send me private message! Im a Korean girl in early 20s.

1You can buy the round trip train tickets from Beijing Railway Station, it's not a big problem, but remember buy it 10 days before your departure date.
You can come with a local tour guide who can take you to the desert in Erdos area and grassland in and around Hohhot City. And between cities, you can still take the train.
Train travel, from Beijing to Hohhot for grassland tour, and then from Hohhot to Baotou where you can hire the car and guide for a desert named Kubuqi. And return to Beijing by the train directly from Baotou to Beijing.
The railway nearby Hohhot was under amending days before because of the heavy rain, and in your travel days it would be fine.
Anything you need to know more, just let me know.
