we're currently planning to travel from germany to dubai by car. Since we don't want to travel through syria or iraq, we're looking for a way to get directly to israel from europe by ferry. Does anybody have any information about currently active ferry lines between Greece or Turkey (or any other state as well) to Israel?
We would be very thankful for any information you have on this topic!

1Welcome to Thorn Tree.
There is no regular ferry to Israel from anywhere. There are rumours on this forum that there may be occasional sailings but nobody has recently reported firsthand that they actually exist.
You might try contacting http://www.rosenfeld.net/ .

There are currently no regularly-scheduled public ferries to/from Israel.
Reading the blog you linked to, it is quite obvious they shipped their car via some boat and picked it up at Haifa port. They had arrived in Israel by some other means well before the car arrived.
