Cheapest way to get to Atlantic City from Philadelphia?

I'm sure some of you guys know that I'm currently in NYC. I'm pretty sure that Atlantic City is closer to Philly than NYC so that's why Philly will be my base unless someone corrects me. Is Megabus the cheapest way to get over to Atlantic City? I think round trip from NYC is $36.

From Philadelphia to Atlantic City, New Jersey Transit is $20 round trip via rail.

You should check ads for casino trips from xNYC. I'm sure they are plentiful (if they go to xFoxwoods, I don't see why they wouldn't go to AC). These trips often include bonuses, like free slot money, meals, etc. Sometimes, the freebies make up for the transit costs.
They may also run from xPhilly.

Megabus also runs the route xNYC-AC. Not sure if you can overnight, though. (It's a special route.)

Generally it's pretty easy to find a cheap bus from New York Chinatown to AC. Or many other providers, including Megabus, and also the New Jersey buses going out of Port Authority in midtown go directly form NYC to AC and back. Thousands of people do that route every day.

But if you really do want to go via Philly, then #1 is right; the cheapest and best way is by train from the 30th street station in West Philly.

Why do you guys mean by xNYC? The reason why I want to go from Philly because it seems closer and I'm almost getting ready to leave NYC. The round trip fare also seems cheaper from Philly.

How am I even trolling? I'm looking for information to make up a plan. What that guy is asserting is just downright ludicrous.

Well, yeah. But if you take into account the cost of getting from New York to Philly, then--not so much. I guess if you're going to Philly anyway...

Like when I typed "New Brunswick" in a post on the US branch regarding New Jersey, and the genius software sent you to Canada.

I traveled back and forth from Philadelphia to Atlantic City many times to go to the casinos. However, now that there is a great casino, Sugarhouse, right in my backyard I have no need to go there. When I did go though I would take bus trips with the casinos where the would offer you slot dollars for coming. To answer your question though, if you check out DO PHL they always have some really good deals and information on what to do and how to get to Philadelphia. Hope this helps you out!
