Snorkelling for Whale sharks......is February a good time?

I will be travelling to Djibouti in the middle or end of February. I have read on here that the season is October-January. If I go in February, obviously there will be less whale sharks. However, is there a chance I'll totally be disappointed and not see any in February? Thanks.

OK, thanks for your response. I went a few years ago to Donsol, Philippines during peak season and my group and others had no problem seeing whale sharks. Perhaps, Djibouti is not as good as Philippines or other areas in the world.

I was there in mid December last year and it was packed with them.
Around 7 or 8 juveniles that I could count to in the little area I was swimming around in.
