1 Day in KL - Help

Hi,
Me & my wife will be transitting in & out of KL next month.

Any suggestions on how we should plan the time.
Land at LCCT at 8PM & Fly out of KLIA next day at 6.30pm.

Our broad plan :
Take Taxi from LCCT to KLCC, check in around 10PM (hotel suggestions? Close to KLCC : $50-$75 for the night)
Check out some Pubs/ Night spots, close to hotel. Suggestions? Till what time will they be open?
Next morning go to Petronas Tower/ Suria Mall.
Best way to travel from KLCC to KLIA (Time taken? Cost? If our flight is at 6.30PM, what time should we leave from KLCC?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Is that RM, or US$ or what? Hotels near KLCC quite expensive. Might be cheaper to stay at Bukit Bintang and all the pubs and eating places are around Changkat Bukit Bintang. Pubs close around 1-3am, depending on location.

Taxi as 2 people so cheaper than train/bus. Probably around RM90 from city.
You taking international flight? Check in 2 hr before, travel time 60-75 min from city.

It'd only be about 28MYR for 2 by bus from KL Sentral but travelling time would be a bit over 1hr at that time of day.

I agree that you'd be better by bus, and it's only 8RM per person one way now from LCCT to KL Sentral.

Then you could stay at myhotel@sentral for 108RM per night for a good double room with aircon etc (it's a five minute walk from the airport bus drop off). Check out time is 12 noon - hotel will look after your luggage while you sightsee for a few hours the next day.

If you really want to go Petronas Towers just note that you can't visit on Mondays and you have to start queuing for tickets at around 7.30am - seriously! If you get there any later, you might miss out on getting a ticket for that day. The way it works is that you have queue for around an hour and then (if you are lucky) you pay for your ticket for a later time in the day.

As an alternative, you could visit Batu Caves which is about 30 minutes by train from KL Sentral. That was what we did last week and it was a good way to spend the day before our flight.

I'm talking 14 each return. We flew in and out the same day so were able to get returns.

Do the returns only work if you travel on the same day?

OP is flying out of KLIA so can't get return bus tickets if arriving at LCCT.

One way is 8RM from LCCT to KL Sentral and there is a frequent train which goes from Sentral to KLIA.

For one night, I personally think it would be a waste of time and money to go to Bukit Bintang or KLCC when you can get to practically anywere from Sentral.

Our broad plan :
Take Taxi from LCCT to KLCC, check in around 10PM (hotel suggestions? Close to KLCC : $50-$75 for the night) "Transport is okay but yr hotel budget is way too low, all the hotels around KLCC are the high end ones
Check out some Pubs/ Night spots, close to hotel. Suggestions? Till what time will they be open? "You can go to the famous P.Ramlee Road pubs nearby KLCC, like the Beach Club Cafe and the Thai Club open till 2-3am each night "
Next morning go to Petronas Tower/ Suria Mall. "Okay"
Best way to travel from KLCC to KLIA (Time taken? Cost? If our flight is at 6.30PM, what time should we leave from KLCC? "Best way is take the RapidKL train to KL Sentral and take the KLIA Express (ERL) to KLIA airport. The high-speed train takes around 30 minutes or so to reach KLIA and cost RM35/person. Leave KLCC by 4.30pm to avoid the rush hour traffic jam "

Hello, I was in KL few days and I absolutely loved it:) I liked it so much that I wrote a blog on KL: http://myguidetokualalumpur.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/what-to-visit-in-kuala-lumpur.html
You might have a look, there are all basic info for tourists there - how to get to/from the airport etc.
