Arriving at Prague International Airport around 10:40 Am – September 5.
What are the options to travel to Katowice by train?
1. How far from the airport it’s the train station?
2. Travel time and cost?
3. Can I take a direct train that’s relative fast?
4. The night train have sleeping beds…cost?
Thank you, very much for your suggestions

2There are 2 direct night trains. The faster (train no. R 443, bound to Warsaw) leaves Prague around 22:20, takes 6 hours and arrives in Katowice at an ungodly 4 am. The slower train (EN 445/D405 to Moscow) departs Prague just before 10 pm and arrives in Katowice around 6 am. I would suggest taking the slower Moscow-bound train, you'll have more time for sleeping.
Ticket costs 35 euros for a seat. Sleeping accommodation is an additional ~12 euros for a couchette, ~20 euros for a 3-bed sleeper. No seats available on the Moscow-bound train.
The direct daytime train at 10:17 am will have already departed when you arrive. There's one more afternoon daytime connection with a change in Ostrava.
Getting from Prague airport to Praha hlavní nádraží has been discussed many times on TT - just use the search function.

3You have several options when it comes to travelling from Ruzyne Airport to the train station in Prague. A taxi cab (I wouldn't recommend) because the cabbies are well know for charging outrageous fees. The advantage is that you don't have to worry about hauling your luggage when you change from bus to metro, or van to metro. If you are travelling light like me a couple of weeks, or if you its at least two of you can safe money by taking a van and metro http://www.cedaz.cz/public-shuttle-bus-from-airport-to-prague-centre.php It is cheaper than a cab, frequent, but it drops you at Namesti republiky Metro, where you will have to get on B line, then switch to A and finally C. http://czech-transport.com/index.php?id=38 Pain in the butt!! or you can take a cab from Namesti republiky to the train station since it is only a few blocks from there. Finally you can take a bus http://www.dpp.cz/en/daytime-operation/ Personally, we are going to be taking the AE bus.
