Yes, IMO, CUN has become one of the poorest choices as a connection city. I just flew GUA-PTY-HAV r/t for $320 on Copa (thank God because i missed my flight again).

the Cancun/Havana run is a bit like Cuba - a bit unique

when I do the Cancun route for me Divermex is my personal agency of choice - Mexico quirks and all

Accurate, and, given his 197(?) trips through that corridor, well worth repeating.
