Youth Hostels in Egypt?Hi everyone,
I'm a 22-year old solo backpacker and I plan on traveling to the following Egyptian cities in September:
Does anyone have any experiences or personal recommendations with youth hostels in any of these cities? I'm looking to meet other backpackers and would ideally like a shared room (to also cut down on expenses)! Being close to public transportation is also ideal, since I'm on a budget!
Thanks in advance!

2Cairo international Scout Centre Hostel great place to say it’s part of network of Hi Hostel International – It’s safe clean hostel It’s on Nasr City Cairo Yusuf Abbas Street.
Their taxi on main road – close by you will find HSBC Bank after you pass the mosque under Foot Bridge where you can exchange your foreign currency – you also use the internet at the Library from 10am – 4pm please bear in mind the wireless not so good.
Local internet café near by and few place where you can clean your clothiers of hostel can do for you.
Taxi will take you around 35 mines to heart of Cairo.
At $24 per night place to stay – please note you have make full payment at the hostel in Egyptian pounds.

4When in Luxor, look for somewhere with air-conditioning: http://www.travelaholics.com/accommodation/egypt/al-uqsur/luxor/d207492/ - when we were there it was nearly 50degC!
I totally agree with the Dahab over Sharm comment - a very laid back place.
