Is the road Potosi-Uyuni completely asphalted now?

I have been told that right now they could have finished asphalting the road from Potosi to Uyuni.
Is that true or not?

Until the road is not fully asphalted, the only two alternatives are going by bus (somehow uncomfortable) or by private jeep (unbereably expensive).
But if the road is completely asphalted, I suppose that by now it could become possible doing that way on a taxi (cheeper than a 4X4 jeep), couldn't it?

Thanks

The bus isn't so bad. I did the trip overnight about two months ago; they were still working on the road then, but we didn't have any problems.

I was there last month and the road is almost completely finished. They were still paving the first few miles outside of Uyuni. I took the 10am bus from Uyuni to Potosi. I think it arrived in Potosi around 2-3pm. The bus ride was fine - probably the easiest Bolivian bus ride I took.

I did that trip by bus about two months ago as well, and they were still busy paving it, but the journey was absolutely fine. It was cold, but you can just wear an extra jumper for that, and you´ll be fine.
