I need advice regarding Sept. weather for these places please.

Hi there, I have 2 weeks holiday in Sept. I am applying for my visa whilst looking at various destination itineraries within India, before I buy my ticket. Depending on how rainy it is, my routes will be one of the following: Delhi, Amritsar and Udaipur; Chennai, Mysore and Bangalore; Kerala. I have checked the historical weather charts at www.wunderground.com and it showed a mix of thunderstorms and partly cloudy conditions for these places for last year. What I would appreciate, is the viewpoint of people who actually live in these places, or travellers who have been there in Sept. regarding weather conditions. I read/heard about there been floods in Delhi and Amritsar
in Sept. 2010 or 2011. Also, I heard that Kerala is lovely and green during this period, but I don't want rain all through the trip.

I am looking forward to my second visit to India in 22 years; last time was Bombay, Delhi, Varanasi, Agra and Jaipur. I will book my ticket
by the end of this week. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

Terry

Bangalore is generally kinda rainy in the first week or so.Then it becomes hot, 34 or so in the afternoons, then it again becomes cooler in the last few days. But with the monsoon deficit so far, maybe September would be very rainy...no idea.

I don't think you should worry too much about rains in September, especially this year. Bangalore and Mysore will be warm & sunny during the day and will get cooler at night. Bangalore weather can be a little unpredictable but the best weather all year round in India.
Be prepared for hot and humid weather in Chennai.

Chennai will be cooler in September with some rainfall (max in Oct) but Kerala will be rainy but should not be too much of a worry for tourists.
