Turkey to Georgia and Armenia, and back

While in eastern Turkey I want to cross the border to Georgia, also go to Armenia, then return to Turkey. I would spend up to one month outside Turkey.

However, with the new tourist visa regulations (three months in Turkey, then three months out before re-entering, as I understand the situation), my plan would appear to be impossible.

Any comment or advise on this, please? Is the three months in- three months out rule now being enforced?

Isn't your visa valid for 3 months, so you can rerenter Turkey during this period ? Many tourists do the same, enter Georgia from Turkey, then go back to Turkey.

I believe that the new rules are like Schengen - 90 days within a 6 month period. That means that you can spend a month in Turkey, leave for Georgia and Armenia and return to spend 2 months.

Thanks, this is clear now. I'd assumed that on leaving Turkey, even if that was after just a couple of weeks, one had to wait three months before re-entering.

I haven't checked in a couple of years, but there were single-entry and multiple-entry visas at that time. According to http://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, for citizens of the United Kingdom, "Diplomatic passport holders are exempted from visa for their travels up to 90d Ordinary, service and special passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Ordinary passport holders can obtain three month-multiple entry visas at the Turkish border gates."
