If he has a place all ready for me to stay at I see it not a problem but am not shure for this & nether is he if I can just come alone or have to be traveling with a group or wait for him to try to invite me so can I please get any help with this . Also in an american citizen if any need too know.

USA passport holders can get a Visa On Arrival for $15 at the airport. I don't think all that other stuff you wrote about makes any difference, nor should you say anything about it to anyone.

Just show up, get your tourist visa and get on with it.

Good luck.

Staying with your Egyptian fiance is against the law. (Just in case you didn't already know!)

There is no problem in the airport, my husband is American and when he visited Egypt he bought the visa when he arrived at the airport.

but if you stay in a hotel you can't share the room with your fiance, you must be married and show your marriage certificate to the hotel administration to stay in the same room. If your fiance has a private apartment and only the two of you will be staying there, you might face some troubles from the neighbors. The best thing is to stay with your fiance's family, if his family live in Egypt.

good luck

Most hotels will not let you and your fiance share the same room, unless you have an Orfi ("temporary marriage") certificate. In some hotels you can take two rooms and sleep in the same room, they will not mind.

When you land in Egypt you will be asked to write the name of your hotel or of the friend at which home you're staying. Just write the name of the hotel where you're staying the first night. Tourists who arrive without having booked a hotel are asked to write the name of the hotel "when they think they will be staying".

To sum up: you have to write something on the "accomodation address" line, but they could not care less whether it's true or not.
