Arty farty stuff to do in new york
Hi.I will be in NY city for around 10 days from 16 August.
Any thoughts on some fun things to do and see.
I like art/contemporary/street/jazz
Any festivals on at this time?
movies/ including night cinema
Also good vege/vegan restaurants, as I am headed this way in my food choices/ethics.

What do you mean when you say you like street? In any case, there's no shortage of streets in New York.Similarly, I don't get "night cinema". All the movie houses in NY are open at night.
If you go the noguchi you might want to see PS 1 also.
There are lots of websites with vegan/vegetarian restaurants sorted by neighborhood etc.

check out www.traveezy.com - it will tell you want's going on in nyc the dates you are there. piano, movies and yoga in Bryant Park. Jazz Festivals, free concerts etc. You can follow their FB page as well - they post a lot of good things to do
