1'Best' is a stupid word to use without outlining the parameters. One man's 'fantastic visit to the Guinness Storehouse' is another man's 'ridiculous marketing exercise involving a million miles of escalators and a crappy pint in a sweaty greenhouse'.
Depending on your interests, two days in Dublin and a day or two in Galway. Or else four days in Dublin with day trips to two of Howth, Dalkey, Wicklow Mountains (tour bus), or Newgrange.
You can list your interests and people might give you a better or idea or feel free to PM me and I'll suggest what might be of interest to you in Dublin.

6Years ago I was asked this question working in London.
The person concerned waqs clueless and wanted to go "somewhere hot" (something of a joke where I worked).
So as I was pushed I said that I had recently returned from Vietnam.
She responded that it was not what she meant, and I wouldn't take my sister there?!
To which I retorted that I had!
OP you need to get to a library and work out what 'best' means for YOU....

7George Best made 470 senior team appearances for Manchester United, but only 37 for the Northern Ireland national side.
What was best for ManU, wasn´t necessarily best for the Irish FA.
Get my drift ?

8Yes, but Mason , the Northern Ireland side played far fewer games over his playing career , If they played weekly he would have been capped a few hundred times and Man U would have missed out . But as you cleverly point out "BEST" is a relative concept.
