Spanish Group Course

I'll be setting off for Central America fairly soon and was hoping to start my trip off with a few weeks of Spanish lessons in Guatemala. The problem is that every single school I have managed to track down on the web only seems to offer one-on-one tutition, or group lessons to people who actually book as a group.

It might make me something of a oddity, but from past experience I know that I find it impossible to learn one-on-one and do best in a 'traditional' classroom environment. So, please, does anyone know of anywhere that offers Spanish lessons that aren't one-on-one? Cost isn't really an issue (within reason) and location is no issue at all.

Thanks very much for any ideas.

I have had good quality group lessons in Mexico a few years back in Puebla...and a friend was in Oaxaca last year, again with group lessons. You may want to start your trip in Mexico if the group lessons are are a priority.

Thanks to “If you want to hike or backpacking that it 's mentioned in your profile, Xela is the place…”Aloha-mahalo to "edgeofthecity". It was a good time when I was studying @ a private college for credit units on the 1960's in Quezaltenango; beside that, as myself you cannot miss to trek the 2 important volcanoes out of 33 Guatemalan's volcanoes around the plains of the country, called Santa Maria and Santiaguito. You can also visit a place with springs in the small town called Almolonga, "The Georgina Springs", in Xela (Quezaltenango), in order to try its natural and medicinal hot waters, and by the same token, you can enroll to any of those "colleges" by group that "edgeofthecity" in order to learn Spanish, not Hawaiiano, in Guatemala. So, enjoy your months of vacation or educative empowerment yearly around there in Xela.
