That's pretty cool #14, thanks for the update. An interesting combination of a hotel de paso and family hotel... :o

Nice to see the real-time dynamics of TT in action.

Thanks for the homework, @14.

So it appears that the the cost for two is about double what a smiliar accommodation at the Hotel Embassy in Colonia Roma or at Hotel Pal near Metro Balderas, both places Anomino has posted trip reports about previously. Personally, being out at night ... I'd be less assured staying in (that section of) Doctores than in the neighborhoods of the two hotels I'm comparing it with. Someone very familiar with the city and that section of Doctores might find the location fine for their needs but I think the average tourist, particularly the types who post for hotel information here on TTMB, it might be a bit too "iffy."

True #16, but in fairness I'm almost sure those prices are for normal rooms in the other hotels, not the raunchtastic decked-out master suite with jacuzzi etc. Prices for normal rooms at this place are about half that...

Yes, I do see that the "Habitación Sencilla" prices at the Lord are competitive with similar accommodatons in the two hotels I was comparing with. Anonimo might comment on the comparison in prices/amenities. He and his better half like to live-it-up in jacuzzi suites along the Arcos de Belen, and elsewhere. I travel a bit more modestly than the Anonimo clan. ;-)

We appreciate the real time research into the Hotel Lord, but we are elsewhere now.

The older we get, the more we appreciate bell hop service, electronic door locks, wi-fi that works; spacious rooms, good beds, ample closets and a good strong shower with plenty of nearly instant on hot water.

Thanks for the update, Anonimo. Just think, you can have your own room with a pole ... and Mrs. Anonimo can put-on a private show for you. My initial reaction is that the hotel, for its location, is a little more expensive than some better options (given the neighborhood).
