I did a similar itinerary last year. At about the same time. Except I went to Bariloche for a week, then to El Calafate, El Chalten, TdP, Punta Arenas and on to Ushuaia. I came back to BA on xmas eve. So about a month all up. And I still struggled with it.I think I agree with the others, a flight to Ushuaia, and then you can go straight to Natales, and then over to El Calafate and Chalten. I think missing Trelew/Puerto Madryn allows you a bit of extra time and leeway.

Okay your schedule makes a lot more sense to me now.I agree with Trent that Puerto Madyrn could potentially be missed. The Penguin Colony is impressive but you have other chances to see penguins, albeit in smaller numbers. I personally thought Valdez was a bit underwealming... just a bunch of sea lions really, which are everywhere in Patagonia. There is a chance to see an Orca feeding on baby sea lions, which would obviously be awesome, but it's very rare.
Central America and Mexico is a great place to visit also, worth 4 months or more. Avoid the capital cities, except Mexico City and Panama. They are ugly and crime infested.
