Manganui area

Any suggestions on a beach near Manganui that has accomodation? Something with a bathroom and a kitchenette. We are into long sandy swimming beaches. Or any other suggestions for a bay of islands destination?

Do you mean Mangonui (Doubtless Bay in Northland) or Manganui (near Taranaki) or Mt Maunganui (near Tauranga)?

Got to be Doubtless Bay. For accommodation, have a look at AA Travel for recs. I dont mind posting the relevant pages if you want them. From the AA book, that is.

Consider Matauri Bay as well as Doubtless Bay, and which is just beyond the BOI so less driving involved. Around Mangonui, I like Cable Bay and Coopers Beach. Here are some more options to review - http://www.tourism.net.nz/region/northland/northland---far-north/accommodation/
