Jersey Shore hotel recommendations for July

Can anyone recommend some hotels in the Jersey Shore that are family-friendly? Doesn't have to be on the beach. We're trying to keep it under $200 a night. We are two adults with one child, age 5. If we find one we like, any tips for getting cheaper rates at specific locations (other than AAA) would be much appreciated.
