cheapest way from Málaga, southern Spain to Luxembourg
Travelling mid-September. for a 4 day convention. Any suggestions?3
Yes, fly it. Expect to pay around 300 € for an AGP-LUX return. A bus won't be much cheaper and it will take like 30 hours...High speed trains will be more expensive than flying.
Or take a Ryanair flight from Malaga AGP to Frankfurt Hahn. From Hahn there are frequent (about 10 a day) buses to Trier and Luxemburg (costs between 5 and 19 € one-way depending on the time of day).

Given your user name, I'm tempted to say there's a much cheaper way to get to Luxembourg...8
Ok, that's great. Thanks a lot. I will look into flights to Frankfurt and the bus.9
I am trying the site for booking the bus and am unable to enter a destination as the box blanks out after I write the FROM: Frankfurt bit in. Am I missing something?? There doesn't seem to be a contact area to ask them.Looks like my only option is to go the day before as the cheapest flight I can find is with Ryan Air and it gets in at 23.50 so was thinking I'll have to stay at a hotel Wednesday night and get the bus in the morning. Was looking at the Pizzeria hotel as it looks cheap and has a free airport shuttle.
I put a shout out on couchsurfing but it's a bit cheeky to say I'm getting in at an ungodly hour and then leaving in the morning.

I tried the website and it worked, but you first have to tick the route button (the first radio button in "please select a route") and a date before the "To" field is activated. The "From" is Hahn Airport, not Frankfurt.
