Help with India Itinery please!
Hello Everyone,I am looking to spend 2 weeks in India, through the last 2 weeks of December this year and the first 2 weeks of January, For the last 10 days I will be travelling to the Andaman Islands and then returning by a flight via Chennai.
I would like some advice as to what to do in the first 2 weeks. I would be particularly keen on Safari, and my companion would like to see Rajistan. I do not want to go on an organised tour, but work my own way around. I also do not want to spend the majority of my time moving between destinations, so it would be handy if I could keep to Southern/ Eastern India. I would really appreciate advice as I don't know where to start. Any idea is a good idea!
Thank you,
Hels.

Spend two weeks starting from Cochin where you can visit the elephant sanctuary, spend a couple of days in Allepey on the backwaters, then Thekaddy nature reserve and then cross into Tamil Nadu visiting Madurai, Thanjavur & Mahalbalipuram to Chennai.Otherwise two weeks in easily done in Rajasthan and then fly to Chennai. Nice places in Rajasthan are Udaipur, Bundi, Ranthanbore, Jodhpur, Ranakur.
Be aware that if you are flying anywhere in Winter, that flight delays are common in the morning because of fog in the north....we had to wait 8 hours in Chennai because of fog in Delhi.

Hiii... I would suggest you to contact a tour company in andaman or in chennai or kerala to organise the tour.and the amount you mentioned is seriously huge...!!
if you want to luxury travel then it is ok.. else you can do that with probably half or one fourth of the price.
when i traveled to andaman i contacted a tour operator in andaman and they arranged all the tickets and dives in there. and my experience was really good and hassle free. they also have link ups in south india, and can arrange a good tour for you.
if you want their contact details it would help:
