Security and bus

Hello!

I want to cross Zimbabwe to go from South Africa to Mozambique (Beira). And, if possible, staying one week to see a little of Zimbabwe.

Two doubts:

Is the country safe?

And the bus is working well?

Thank you!

South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique are all 'safe', depends on how travel weary you are and if you follow the normal rules of staying out of troubles way. If you put yourself in a bad spot, you will be taken advantage of.

Zimbabwe is probably the best of the three countries. Its a poor country, so watch your belongings and although the locals are friendly, don't get too familiar with them or they will take advantage of you.

You don't say which bus service you are on, but the big names are normally quite good. Not aware of them going to Beira.

Why go to Beira? Been there often and there isn't that much happening and for Mozambique beaches, its really the worst!

Cheers
