On a whim - Destination Phuket!
Hello fellow travellers,I woke up this morning and by afternoon I had decided to travel to Phuket from 17-23 July. My tickets are booked and so is my accommodation. Am I excited? Hell yeah! I will be travelling solo. Something new. I haven't really chalked out my itinerary yet. But I do know that apart from soaking in the scenic beauty Thailand has to offer me, I would love to meet new people and make friends from anywhere and everywhere. If there's anyone travelling to Phuket about then, is on the same page as me (or not, as long as you're pretty sane) and would like to get in touch, please do. Also all recommendations, warnings and tips are welcome ;)

Well for such a short holiday I hope you are just visiting from a nearby country! If you are flying from a long distance you should stay longer in Thailand to take advantage of an expensive plane ticket!Compared to other cities, Phuket is the most expensive place to visit in Thailand. In general, hotels are cheap in Thailand, staying longer would not cost that much more. Next time also include Bangkok and Chiang Mai to see more of the real Thailand. Many countries have beaches but not the scenery you have in the Chiang Mai and other northern cities. Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Pattaya are cheaper than Phuket.
When women get in trouble in Phuket often it is because of consuming too much alcohol and making bad choices! Don't fall in love with one of the Kuta Cowboy type gigolos!
Google check will give you some of the things to see and do. You will meet other tourists on tours. You can sign on to tours through local travel agencies.
