Immigration office (visa extension) in Ko Chang

If you need to extend your visa in Ko Chang, first take the ferry to the mainland. From the pier, a songthaew to the immigration office costs 50 baht per person. The office is in Laem Ngop, a short ride from the pier, and is open weekdays only until 4:30 pm. No lines, process is quick and easy and the extension is given on the spot. Bring a passport photo, a photocopy of your paper could be done at a nearby shop.

After completing the procedure you can return to Ko Chang or continue onwards. Last bus from Laem Ngop to Bangkok its at 3, otherwise take another songthaew to the buys e station just north of Trat from which there are frequent buses to Pattaya and Bangkok.
