quality of some usa universities

hi.
some of usa universities do not require GMAT for entry into masters degree programs and my question is, do these universities have a bad reputation or are not they recognized internationally?
here is the list of some of those universities.

That list looks very sketchy (disreputable) to me.

I've heard of 2, 8, 23, 24, and 28, and what I've heard about 8 through 28 has generally not been good. What I've heard about Oregon State is that they have a football team. Their MBA program may be OK but its appearance on that list is enough to make me suspicious.

One important thing to look for in American universities is "accreditation." There are recognized organizations that evaluate universities and more or less "approve" them. I am not going to describe the process, but a measure of quality is "the university is accredited." If a university is not accredited, degrees it grants may not be recognized. Note that the web site talks about accredited universities. So I assume that all on the list are accredited.

Oregon State, Vinny, is Oregon's land grant university (another indication of a certain level of quality). Better known in science than business.

I looked at some of the universities. The web site is a bit misleading. The university may not require the GMAT for admission to an MBA program, but there may be other requirements that are about the same.

Oregon State requires the GMAT from non-US students.

One university requires an undergraduate degree in business and recommends taking the GMAT to improve your chances of admission. They have a minimum GPA (how well you did in your classes).

Two others sat you must take either the GMAT or the university's own entrance exam.

Looking at more, but not all, of them:

Except for #31, which is decidedly weird, none of the ones I looked at appear dodgy. Some are small, private colleges. Some have been around for over 100 years.

Where GMAT is not required, many have rather rigorous requirements--a high GPA, business internship or work experience, writing samples, letters of recommendation.

One exempts you from the GMAT--providing you take the GRE (a similar exam).

Some exempt you if you take a half- or full-year of preparation courses before beginning the MBA.

gor, you can start by looking here or universities in the UK:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/table/2012/may/21/university-league-table-2013

Generally speaking, the higher the Average Teaching Score, the more prestigious (the better) the university.
