romantic getaway (san blas/el valle maybe)
Hello all,I am trying to plan a romantic getaway in July that has a mix of beach relaxation and hiking. I was thinking san blas/el valle as possibiities, but I am open to ideas. Can anyone recommend places to go with accomodation that is in a lovely, romantic setting without breaking the bank? Our budget is approx $50 per night, more if meals are included. We don't need 5 star, just clean and relaxing (not overrun with party people, not a dingy room with questionable cleanliness). Thanks!

Just got back from a few nights in El Valle. We stayed at the Anton Valley Inn for $70 in what I think was their "deluxe" room. It's a small hotel, 12 rooms that are more homey than romantic, but the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the staff is extremely helpful. They can provide you with information about the activities around the El Valle area. La India Dormida trail is about a 20 minute walk/5 minute drive from the hotel. There is also a good restaurant on site, and the hotel is within a 2-3 minute walk from a bakery and a grocery store. Good location on the main street too, but try to get a room on the right side of the building for a slightly better view.3
Highly recommend EcoVenao (www.venao.com) beyond Pedasi on the Azuero Peninsula. Pedasi is a5-hour bus ride from Panama City. If you have a car rental, you can hit the beaches here and El Valle
