Sometimes the cheapest ticket is not necessarily the cheapest way to get somewhere miin. Often flying works out cheaper overall than a ferry or train to somewhere when you factor in the time difference and the fallout from that additional time. For example, if you have to buy a meal enroute on a ferry, that should be added to your ticket cost to determine just how much it cost you to get there vs. flying.Lost time is also a factor although not one you can put a price on. If time is no issue then it is worth nothing. If you only have a week, then half a day is a lot of time to lose.

Hi Miin78,to me the cheapest way to reach Bastia from Poland would be to take a bus from where you are to Berlin and then a flight with German Wings to Bastia (from EUR100). To echo the above, yes you could find cheaper (hitch hiking across europe for 20 days) but it will be a wrong economy at the end with all the costs linked to food and accomodation.
Enjoy Corsica!

If you live in the South of Poland, you may fly with http://www.ryanair.com to Pisa and go on by ferry from Livornohttp://www.mobylines.com/
