Spain can be a good option for you. It meets all your requirements and the most dificult part would be to choose what cities you would visit in your time frame.17
morocco is beautiful, cultural, and very very agressive! if you are a solo female beware, moroccans are the most aggressive people and you will literally feel the wrath! i traveled 1/2 way around the world and must say, it was a culture shock when i arrived to marrakech. think third world poverish country, the tour guide even told us not to snap photos of certain scenes and neighborhoods we passed by!! it was very intimidating and i was in a 5 star resort! they have the most gorgeous resorts in the world, serene like an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the outdoors. however, once you step out of the hotel, it is truly another world literally at the doorstep! narrow alleys that taxi's DO NOT enter, they drop you off and there will be a guy with a trolly that will escort you through the poverish narrow alleys to your hotel...not exactly my cup of tea! I am glad i got to visit it once, but becareful! Assistance, directions, anything will require "tip" even from the people in the street, so think about it before asking for directions. When a tour guide has to "warn the tourists" about certain stores and their traps...then there is a problem! I have MANY beware tips contact me if you want to know. just got back and will never go again! but i must say, it truly was an experience.18
Turkey - far less challenging than Morocco for a solo female traveller although it might be further than your 4 hours. Lots of places to choose from and various styles of building from Roman through to modern. Also not quite so difficult to photograph people. Southern Spain - another good choice.
