Son Doong cave - need fellas

Hello, all.

I wanna to visit Son Doong cave (probably the biggest cave in the world) in this July (actually, after 10th of July). The evpenses for this adventure is quite heavy for 1 person, so I'm looking for some fellow travellers to share this.

I'm in the same situation, but I'm not going until April. I'm guessing you cannot wait.

It looks great in pictures, doesn't it?

Yeah... Looks so great that I'm ready to visit this place alone... But in any way I'm looking for every possibility to share the expenses.

By the way, let's be in touch: if it is really great I will repeat it with my friends in the next winter or spring.

to Rose_ng, to Candy212 :

If there will be 2 of us, the price - 930$ per head; if 3 - 730$ per head.
This price is offered by my Vietnamese friend, and I do not want to bargain with him, but in any way it looks not more expensive than in other companies. If somebody knows how to make it cheaper - let me know, please.

The national park now offers these treks as well, at a much lower price

if you check in with the phongnha farmstay, there are often folks there going on these tours, you could join up with someone from there

OP's price sounds very expensive for Vietnam.
Rose & Candy shop around, even look at JB's option.

@ mooslie : As I know, this Son Doong cave does not open to public, just for scientists and researchers only. So, in order to make this tour for normal tourists, travel agent has to deal with local authorities to get their permits ( not many agent could do this) and it costs too much and not easy. And this tour also need many logistics to make. So, i think it is the reason make its cost higher than other tours in VN, do you think so?

there are 3 companies doing these cave trips in the jungle of phong nha ke bang national park,

some are more expensive, the best deal is with the park folks themselves

How does one make a deal with the park folks themselves?

I've been talking to Activetravel Asia about Son Doong. They're enormously pleasant to deal with and apparently competent, but yeah, on the spendy side.
