Housebites delivers dirty pans alongside gourmet food for 'authentic fakers' pretending they cooked
Housebites.com, the takeaway service that delivers restaurant quality food has today announced a service called ‘pretend you cooked’ that allows customers to pretend they have slaved away at a hot stove more convincingly by delivering dirty pans alongside the food. Cooked by a professional chef and delivered to your door, Housebites main courses cost on average between £10 and £12, and now for an additional £5, customers can request the pans used to cook them for added authenticity.

Thanks, nutrax. You have saved me from the trouble of writing a thank-you note to my hosts of last night. It was to be a barbecue, so I anticipated that we would eat outdoors, but because it was cool we ate inside. I never actually saw the grill, and my first view of the grilled salmon with chives that was our main course was when two large fillets came to the table on a platter. There was a wonderful fragrance coming from the kitchen, where a gratin Jurassien was in the oven, but I can't be sure that the hostess actually did anything other than pop a semi-finished dish in the oven to heat. Fakers! Except for their duplicity, it was a wonderful evening.

I just can't imagine doing that. What if your guests want the recipe or your friends want you to cook something in their kitchen? We all know who cooks and who doesn't in my crowd.

Its a good point......do they give you the recipe as well?

If the food is that good your guests will surely want to know how you cooked it........

There ya go! They should give you the recipe on food stained index cards for complete realism.
