thanks for the link.
Like you, I like my beverages meat-free too, and that drink in your link looks very appealing.

btw- it's either muy or muito depending on whether it's intended to be Spanish or Portuguese. You seem to be combining both.

Yes, thank you. I haven't written of spoken Spanish in over six weeks. How quickly we forget. Please, enjoy. Adding a raw beet to most citrus drinks is daring, though completely satisfying. Tienas mucho satisfacion, si?

Asi, come, reza, ama.

Here's a recipe for a popular summer soup, Chlodnik (pron. hlod-neek). Also with beets. Egg is optional, it's equally good without.
The soup is usually sprinkled with finely chopped fresh dill and/or parsley leaves, that are omitted in the recipe.
Like the comment under the recipe says, the soup should have also chopped or sliced radish in it and shouldn't be mixed in a blender.

Excellent! But I wouldn't wanna be giving a urine sample the next day.

Meat laden beverage? You meant soup?

I once asked for apple juice in Morocco and got a frothy drink that I think was whizzed apples. It was delicious and I'm guessing that is what gives your drink that smoothie look?

I had the best avocado milkshake in Tabatinga, Brazil. There is no plastic cup. The seller put it in a plastic bag with a straw.

How about agua de tuna? It's great by itself or in a margarita.

There was a time I had no compunction whatsoever with dumping a couple of tablespoons of disiccated animal liver into a smoothie. But things have changed with me.

My husband made me a beautiful frozen strawberry margarita the other day. It was the perfect end to my work day.

Never mix Spirulina with distilled spirits. The combination of alcohol and algea will wreak havoc on your reproductive organs.

I forgot this meat-laden beverage: The Bullshot

And the shellfish-laden one: The Bloody Caesar

Even more meat-laden. Beef tea

The Bloody Caesar is how we've been making Bloody Mary's for ages, except we also use Old Bay seasoning.
I like an occasional Oyster shooter (essentially a shot of bloody mary with an oyster or 2 in it) but I have no desire to drink anything involving beef. I like my beef on my plate not in my cup.

How about a Michelada con Clamato?

It's beer, lime juice, salt, hot sauce, Worcestershire Sauce (optional) and Clamato.
Our favorite local seafood restaurant hangs a shrimp or two over the rim of the glass.
