Transportation to/from Niue
Does anybody have current information about transportation to/from Niue (other than Air New Zealand to/from Aukland) ...to/from the Cook Islands? ...to/from the east coast of Australia?-
It seems there once was sea transportation between Niue and the Cook Islands, but I can't find information on it now.

Short of chartering a flight from Tonga or Rarotonga, I'm afraid not. Although I have hitched a ride on yachts and a container ship from Raro in the past. Niether the Niue, New Zealand Governments nor Niue Tourism seem to be interested in such links.2
A number of yachts departing Rarotonga, stop off at Niue heading west. But you'd need to be based on Raro to know who's departing, and when.With the opening of airports around the Pacific, the former shipping service that plied the Pacific from Niue over to Raro with return stops back to Auckland are sadly no more. Those were the days!! Oh the memories too...
Looks like you will have to fly from Auckland to Niue on Air NZ's weekly return service.
