Countries that don't eat US ATM cards besides Cuba?
I wonder if I shoud place this in Travel Tech or Activities & Gear... mods feel free to move it.So what are the countries that don't take US ATM cards but take cards from other countries? Iran doesn't count since it doesn't eat any western country's ATM card.

Turkmenistan is a weird one...they won't accept western cards, BUT you can go to a bank or two in Ashgabat and they will call up somewhere (I think in Germany?) and do the transaction over the phone and then hand you cash. THere is paperwork involved and it is quite hilarious.Currently I believe Libya doesn't accept them as their banking operations haven't been fully established...and Sudan may be on that list as well still.
I know Somalia/Somaliland only have one bank set up and that cards from the US won't work there as they dont' recognzie Somaliland.
