Train to the North in Togo running again!?

Hi,
I just saw on the homepage of the German Embassy in Lome that the train heading North has been refurbished and is running again on a daily basis since April.
Can anyone confirm it? it would be quite nice to have an alternative to the mini busses...

I saw a train running for the first ever time in Lome a few months ago, I was shocked to see it - it was like a dream. It was the only one I saw and it looked like it had a variety of cars on it. But I would NOT like to be a passenger in any one of them. It travelled very, very, VERY slow. We had to go get a beer while waiting for it to cross the street. The buses and shared taxis are so plentiful and cheap, why wouldn't you just want to take one? They are quite efficient and honestly, not THAT many crashes for an African country I guess....
