PEI & Nova Scotia

I'm planning on going to PEI this September to visit some friends. I'd like to travel around PEI and Nova Scotia a bit but I don't drive. Any tips for things to do, places to visit and travel tips.

You don't say how you are travelling so it's dificult to advise.
I'm currently holidaying in Halifax which is well worth visiting.
A lovely harbourfront, with plkeasant walks, plenty history (Maritime Museum a must) & great brewpubs to round it off!
