What to do this upcoming weekend in Vancouver?

Anything cool going on this weekend in vancouver for two 24yr old guys coming from seattle to see or do. It will be our first time in Canada and we are just spending friday, saturday and sunday in vancouver.

We are open to just about anything museums, strip clubs, bars, water, hikes, concerts, etc..........

The Georgia Straight has all of the city's arts and entertainment listings.

If you guys are in reasonably good shape, (at 24yrs old you should be!) the Grouse grind on the North Shore is a lot of fun, its a 2800ft elevation gain trail to the top of the mountain at the ski area, you take the Gondola back down for $10/each. Takes about an hour for me at a steady pace. There's restaurants at the top, good place to have a beer and overlook the city. Lots of people do this, I was up there yesterday afternoon, there was a steady stream of climbers. You can also just take the Gondola up if you're not into the hike.

Do people ever race up it to see who can get to the top the fastest?

Yeah, the record is something like 25 minutes, my top speed is 48 minutes. BTW, its a girl friendly activity!

Yeah good advice! My friend wanted to stop every 2 minutes and after about 10 minutes up the mountain he decided to just turn around. hahaha I want to go back with something other than jeans and skateboard shoes next time and try to actually see how fast I could do it.

Man that lumberjack show was so cheesy that it was almost funny.
