4D3N MIRI > Niah/Mulu > Brunei day trip itinerary
Hi fellow travelers,my planned flight from KL-MIRI-KL
Depart from Kuala Lumpur LCCT (KUL) at 0715 (7:15 AM) and arrive in Miri Airport (MYY) at 0930 (9:30 AM)
Depart from Miri Airport (MYY) at 2155 (9:55 PM) (+1 day) and arrive in Kuala Lumpur LCCT (KUL) at 0005 (12:05 AM)
As this would be my 1st trip to Borneo..(although im a Malaysian), I was wondering, if I have a flight ticket to MIRI for 4d3nites. What activities that I can cramp into. Would this itinerary be doable?
*DAY1*- miri (town) -i want to spend 1whole day to cover the whole miri, visit some villagers/fishing village if there is one + meetup some friends there or even making new friends. Spend the the night at Imperial Palace Hotel
DAY2 - Mulu national park, spend the the night there. early next morning head to Niah.
DAY3 Niah national park day trip, Imperial Palace Hotel (or another hotel, yet to decide)
DAY4 - brunei (day trip, plan to drive there), then come back just for the 9.55pm flight.not sure if its doable or not.
concerns
- transport to MULU...should i just go to Niah instead?
- ive never been to Brunei, so just wanna go there for the sake of going and stamping my passport
please advice as these are still in planned mode.

One night in Mulu is not enough if you are planning on leaving early morning. I suggest you just go to Niah, leave Mulu for another trip. Maybe overnight in Niah in the park HQ.Will be a rush to fit Brunei in as well, especially if you are only wanting to get a passport stamp !

DAY1 miri (town)9.30am arrive at Miri. Not yet planned where to go, perhaps find a car 1st. Meet some locals. Rend a car for 3days. pickup truck perhaps? Spend the the night at Imperial Palace Hotel. Eat seafood anywhere. I think it make sense if i hookup with someone there. then at least i can know where to go from an insider point of view.
DAY2 - Niah national park day trip. 10am, go back around 6pm, we'll see.
Nite - food around MIRI
DAY3 - Brunei day trip , plan to drive there, Nite time take pictures of Brunei at nite > then only head to Miri around 9pm
*DAY4*- MIRI day trip. 12pm checkout.
need a place to chill till 9:55 PM or would i be able to do a 1/2day of the hotel..hehe..
9.55pm flight back to KL
p/s ive excluded Mulu....next time around i'll just stay at Mulu the whole week. 5days enough right? that would be 2014 and above! haha.

Have you checked the entry formalities for taking a Msian rental car into Brunei?
