Pattaya~ Phnom Penh- ~Pattaya OverlandHi all,
OK, I know a travel agency that can get me overland from Pattaya to ... I think it's Hat Lek- not 100% sure, but I think it's on the Thai side of the Thai-Cambodian border.
Can anyone please advise me what to do from that point to Phnom Pehn?
I don't mind being stuck for a night at the Thai~Cambodian border, but I don't want to be there for a night and the next day, too.
Then, there's coming back, P.P. to Pattaya. How to do it? Best way?
As Always, Thank You Very Much!

1Yes-Hat Lek is the border town in Thailand. From there you go to Koh Kong, which is about 7km into Cambodia. This border crossing is well known for scams, from the touts offering to help you fill out forms to overcharging for the Cambodian visa.Get a visa in advance or an E-visa if possible.Currently the buses to Phnom Pehn leave in the morning at around 08.00.Cost is 8-10USD, takes about 4-5 hours so you'd need to stay one night in Koh Kong, unless you get a shared taxi or minibus,in the afternoon on the day you get there. In reverse, get a bus from PP to Koh Kong,go to the border, get a minibus to Trat bus station, then a service bus to Pattaya. It's a long trip,12 hours plus-I've done it several times,if you aren't in a hurry I'd break the journey in Koh Kong

2Yes as above but also plenty of visa run minibuses go direct from Pattaya to hat lek border, cross the bridge and 1km on is bus station with connections direct to Phnom pen sorya is around most reliable and bus station close to city main tourist part. you can also stay overnight Koh Kong plenty of GH's near the old market

3Whilst I agree that Pattaya is a place I have always avoided because of its seedy reputation, not everyone that hails from there should be automatically be tarred with the same brush blackberry shiny white with halo attached. There are a lot of scumbags AND perverted sex tourists in Cambodia. Maybe our OP is wanting to escape that awful place.
