DMZ?? We stayed in Hue and did a day trip to DMZ from there. Plus theres plenty to see in Hue itself. Then I'd look at sleeper train from Hue to Nha Trang. About 12-13hrs.3
Bamboo-- I love the HK quote and am currently learning first hand its necessary application.I would pass on Hoi An also. It was very expensive and overrun with white tourists. I liked Nha Trang beach very much, great value lodging--$17 for a balcony A/C wifi room overlooking the sea,$5 less than an acceptable room in beachless Hoi An. NT felt like Viet Nam to me much as Mae Hong Son feels like Thailand and Pai feels like Amsterdam.
The DMZ runs all the way to the Laos border. Where did you have in mind, paul?
