Egypt low season travel questionsI will be traveling to Egypt in late June. I know it will be excessively hot, but would like to travel to Luxor. From there, I plan to fly to Sharm. I would like to have some flexibility to my travel plans. Is it necessary to reserve a flight from Luxor to Sharm to Cairo ahead of time or can I do it once I get to Luxor? I would like to have the freedom to leave Luxor earlier if I can't bare the heat or stay longer if I love it.
Also, I was planning on taking the train from Cairo to Luxor (overnight) should I book this ahead of time?
Thanks for your input.
P.S. Any tips on keeping cool, besides not going :-)

1Book everything once there, you will appreciate not being tied down to a schedule.
Sightsee early morning and late afternoon, relax in a/c environment over the heat of the day.
Drink plenty of cold water. Don't wander round town carrying a litre bottle, it gets cumbersome, warm and makes you look like an idiot tourist ripe for hustling.
Don't get sunburnt, it increases the discomfort greatly. Use a high SPF cream.
Don't get drunk, the hangover is horrendous in the heat.
Don't take on too much, take your time.

2once i've been traveled from cairo where i live to luxor and from luxor i took a bus and it took 13 hours to arrive to cairo and at the same day i took another bus to head to sharm el shayiek i think its amazing to watch the roads and the country and the places , people everything in these 13 hours that u come back from luxor heading to sharm for example u see many towns and many nice places its fun much better than the flight in my opinion and the good thing is that u can pick ur tickets a day before u leave or even at the same day if u got lucky so u can leave any time u want .

3Hello, the only way to travel from Luxor to Sharm by air through Cairo, by bus I think it will take over 15 hours, you can reserve your TKT from anywhere, or you can contact any local travel agent to know the prices, I took the a flight TKT Cairo/Aswan - Luxor/Cairo/Sharm - Sharm/Cairo with 200 $, through local travel agent

4the first time i visited egypt was in july, in luxor and assuan, during lunch hours, it felt like i could cook eggs on my head just by walking down the street for 10 minutes . meaning, yes, its very very very hot in egypt in summer. but its dry heat, which is much easier to cope with than humid heat.
summer in egypt is low season, i dont think you have to prebook.
keeping cool in egypt - as already posted, get out as early as possible, enjoy the 2-4 hours (depending on when you get out) before full sunshine. spend the hottest hours somewhere cool / inside / shaddy, and venture out again around 4pm. drink a lot of water, eat refreshing food.
