Sikkim: Treks and Trekking Companies

I am planning a trip to Sikkim in early June and had a few questions. We are looking at 3 different trekking companies to take us on the Dzongri Trek.

1. Has anyone traveled with the following companies/do you have feedback?
  • Peak Adventure Tours
  • Yukson Tours and Treks
  • Sikkim Tours and Travels

2. Does anyone have information on Dzongri Trek? Is it strenuous? What about altitude sickness?

3. Does anyone have other suggestions for moderate trekking in Sikkim to get a sense of the culture and enjoy views of the Himalayas?

Thank you!

Namaste Haider!
You are welcome to sikkim, the land where you find a paradise in earth.
There are many treks that you can do around sikkim.
It depends on how do you have time and how many days trek you would like to do,
Trek to Dzongri(4000 m) will be a moderate trek and its a 5 days trek and Goechala(5020 m) trek will be the best trekking, its a 8 days trek.
I will suggest you to do goechala trek and the trek gives you a lot opportunity to see rhododendron blooming in every part of the areas at present and the view of the mountains will be stunning,
Whereas,it is moonsoon season starting very soon, where you could find rain some time at lower altitude.
If you contact any trekking agencies from sikkim then remember that contact the local agency and there is some trekking agencies who works from Delhi and they are making money for nothing,
Hiddenparadise adventure tours ,sikkim tours and trek, yuksam tours and trek are local, better to contact them.
Good luck,
Dawa
