Weather and Pollution in vietnam in June
Hi, I'm going to Vietnam in mid June, arriving Hanoi and meandering down to Saigon and the Mekong delta. I read there are two wet seasons depending on where you are and when. Has anyone any experience of Vietnam in June in terms of how wet it will be. Only planning to take a poncho and pack cover. Also how bad is the airpollution? Is it ABC, Asian brown cloud country? Thanks1
We've had several trips to Vietnam during June/ July and had great weather. Air pollution cant have been too bad because I dont remember any.2
Pollution- nowhere near as bad as say, many Chinese cities or Tehran. Not been in June/July but was there once late May. Hot but comfortably so, able to walk around for an hour or two at a time.

Expect some afternoon downpours in Hanoi, hopefully no floods. If you're just passing through, I wouldn't worry too much about air pollution. However, for those of us living in Hanoi, bronchitis is the order of the day.5
Yes if you are just traveling through it won't be much of a problem, living here is a different matter.I wear a mask all the time in Saigon and look forward to moving out of the city into a place with cleaner air.7
Hi Jenbes!!!!!I have some experience to share for u.
June is one of the hottest months in the North. Temperatures may peak to 36°C in Hanoi. Rainfall also stocks up a bit. Sapa is still in its nature, cloudy and pleasant.
Hue and Hoian tend to be very hot and dry. Try to drink a lot of water to avoid dehydration if you are visiting these historic cities around this time.
Nha Trang is still enjoying dry and sunny weather while rain drops more frequently in Ho Chi Minh city and Can Tho.
I hope this info can help u when to Vietnam. Have a good travel!

Air pollution in Hanoi is not as bad as Mexico City or Beijing, but it's still there - as #4 wrote, long-term residents get a lot of respiratory bugs. I wear contacts, and even though I spend my days outside (office life and all), I've had more bouts of conjunctivitis and other eye problems in the last 2years in Hanoi than I've had in the 20 years before that...
