Bus from Centro (Medellin) to Airport in Rio Negro via Centro

Does anyone know exactly where this bus leaves from in Centro? And by any chance, what time it starts running?

It starts running at 5 am in front of hotel Nutibara.

Perfect, and do you know if Hotel Nutibara is closer to the centro stop or parque berrio?

It's next to Parque Berrio, but for the love of gads, be very careful with your belongings there at that hour... it's prime thieving territory. Fine as long as you're alert but many opportunist thieves hang out in the wee hours right in the Botero park area.

I'm sure you've already considered taking a taxi but I'd recommend it strongly considering the time.

Thank you for the heads up. At what time do you think it starts to be safe?

It's a pickpocket's haven pretty much all day, but there's police presence during most of it. Personally I'd ask a taxi driver to drive to the stop and wait till the bus was there to get out. Pre-dawn is one of the diciest times for robberies in the Centro.

Ok, I will have a taxi take me. So I just ask them to take me to the front of hotel nutibara and the buses will be easy to find?

I was just there a couple weeks ago (around 6am for a flight).....The location is a side street behind the hotel Nutribara (all the cab drivers know the hotel and the location). The buses line up (they have signs in the window) and there will be plenty of others (locals) headed to the airport at that hour (there is also a coffee/pastry shop right on the corner where they park that is open).

Thanks all for your help/advice!

Is it still 7,000 pesos?

I take the bus from Centro to MDE once a month - yes still 7K pesos - if you have anything other than a backpack - take a taxi to Centro and then catch the bus to Rio Negro - I take the Metro but at 10am - and when leaving Colombia I am packed very light - coming back is another story.
