Do people get hayfever in Cambodia/SEA?!!Hello everyone!
I've just found out I've got an internship in Cambodia (Siem Reap) for six months- starting in October until March. I'm so excited as I've been wanting to go to Asia all my life!
However, I suffer from terrible hayfever (grass and tree pollen) which makes spring here a nightmare. I was just wondering if I'll get hayfever in Cambodia (do any fellow sufferers have any experience there?), and if so, when is the hayfever season? I know they have two seasons- the wet and dry season.
I'm also hoping to travel to the surrounding countries when I'm there, so any information on these places would be great too :)
Any advice/help is much much appreciated. Thank you!

1I've never had hay fever in Cambodia although I think if you are likely to get it it will be at the end of the dry season about april. I'm up in Chaing Mai at the mo and have had it very mild the last month, the rains are almost upon us and its already getting better. Personally I think you'll find it to be better here than home. Obviously watch out for dust in the countryside, but that will depend a bit on where you are based.

3I am no Doctor, but the most common pollen allergens are from trees not present in Cambodia. I see few guests with pollen allergies.

4Spent 8 months in SE Asia in 2008 and while I suffer badly from pollen allergies in Canada my allergies were not much of an issue in Cambodia/Lao/VN/Burma/Thailand.
